I could use some help making up my mind on which tractor I should buy. I have a price of $16,000 for all three, set-up with 60" mid-mower and loader. The prices are all from the same dealer and are the best I've found. I intend to use the tractor mostly for mowing, barn work, and my own landscaping. They all seem to be a good so I am looking for the small details I may not know. I learned this because I was set to buy a John Deere 4100 hydro, until I found out they could not deliver until "maybe late summer, early fall", and started to research harder and found things I didn't like.(DELIVERY,no backhoe,Aluminum rear end)Anyway, I need to make my mind up very soon, and any comments will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dennis

If you read most of this thread, you will notice people with problems with either Ford New Holland or Deere. Not that there are very few posts with Kubota B2710 related problems.Think about that.Buy Kubota B2710.Jon ....

I can't really comment on which is better because I haven't owned any NH or MF equipment but I do have a comment on the 2400. When I was looking for a tractor, my first thoughts were either a 2100 or a 2400. I went to several dealersand they said that, dollar for dollar, a 2710 is a better value than a 2400.Their points were that it had 33% more loader capacity (880 lbs vs. 660 lbs.,close to 30% more 3 point lift capability (1300 lbs vs. 1015 lbs) and morePTO HP (20 vs. 18). It also has a different frame which they said was moresubstantial. Depneding on your point of view, the extra few hundred pounds of weight could be an advantage or a yard ripper. If it meets your needs and budget, you should relook the B2100 and B2710. The 2100 has almost the samespecs as the 2400 and costs less and the 2710 offers more performance butfor a price. As I said at the outset, I know nothing of the other makes but based on myexperience with my Kubota, you'll enjoy any orange model. ....

I can't comment on blue or red,but I can tell you about orange. We own a B2150 that we purchased in '94.Believe me I have put this little tractor to the test,Without any failure of any kind what so ever.I just looked at the B2710 and this tractor looks to be a dandy. We have a brand new dealer, who just received shipment of these units and hasn't sold one yet,but I'm sure it won't take long.So as of yet I don't know anyone who owns a 2710.All discussion I've seen on different forums has been very positive, and not too many complaints. One more thing and I'll shut up,I know a fellow who is in the mowing business that owns two B2150's.One tractor has approx.3700 hours on it,the newer one has around 3000 hours. To date he has replaced 1 throwout bearing, and 1 set of hoses.Add these numbers to the hours I have on our tractor,we're looking at approx. 8700 hours of vertually trouble-free performance. So I'll go out on a limb here and that Kubota makes one tough product and I wouldn't own anything else. ....

I have a TC21D...and love it! Runs like a champ, purrs like a kitten. I liked the layout of the controls and guages and the more modern looking style better than the other colors. I know, that seems like kind of a shallow determinant in buying a tractor, but realistically, they all (21hp) seem to perform about the same (at least according to the published numbers.) The TCxxD seriesalso has fold-down ROPS standard, which DID come into play for my small storage shed. The loader comes off in about 2 minutes (slightly longer than the JD because it requires 2 bolts to be taken out.) It starts quickly, runs great, and has plenty of power. Oh, one more thing. A lot of Kubota people complain about the dim headlights on their tractors. This baby has LIGHTS! Probably doesn'tmatter to you, I know I don't plan on mowing my lawn at night, and I don't live in the snow region.I'd say just go with whichever one you seem to like best...for whatever reason. They're all fine machines.I just had to represent the Boomers to go with all the Kubota posts. ....

I have had a TC21D for about a month and am very pleased with the product. I did not get a loader with the tractor due to cash flow, but the dealer is coming today to pick it up to add the loader. The layout and operation of this machine is great. I looked at the same units your are considering and decided on the NH. One item to note, the 21D does not have the deluxe 3 pt like the 25D which I think is an excellant feature. Also the NH literature lists the 21D as having 3 speed ranges, the same as the 25D but it only has 2. Before I got mine the dealer only had a 25D and a gear 21, so I was looking for that mid range that's not there. The high and low seem to be more than adequate. I borrowed a back blade from my brother-in-law (a real farmer). He said he would let me use the little one. The little one turned out to be a very heavy duty 7' monster. The 21D has know problem dragging this up my drive with a load of gravel,in 2 wheel drive as the front tires are barely on the ground any why.My wife loves this tractor and talks about how quiet it is.Hope this information helps ....

I bought a TC21d about a year ago It's a great tractor. Heavy enought to get the job done, not so heavy that it tears the lawn up. I like it because it'll fit through the gate to my back yard. This tractor definetly has style and it doesn't use hardly any fuel. I'm the envy of the neighborhood. The john deere tractors are very good too but, they are more money. I think the John deere's will fetch a higher resale because of the name. But over all the TC21d is a well designed tractor ....
